Health care needs of women including promoting health, maintaining wellness, and common physical and psychological conditions pertinent to health are identifi ed. Historical, political, economic and social infl uences will be examined for their impact on women as consumers and providers of health care. Strategies to empower women to change their outlook of how they deal with the present health care system will be explained. This course satisfies the liberal arts diversity requirement. Code 2 course fee.
