This course provides the necessary knowledge and techniques to operate both water treatment fi ltration facilities and those without fi ltration capacity. It also provides fundamental knowledge and techniques employed in most primary and secondary wastewater treatment facilities. It will include the operation of settling tanks, activated sludge, sand fi lters, trickling fi lters, and general laboratory techniques used in wastewater treatment. Code 2 course fee. Prerequisite: CHEM 182
