(formerly RSP*H111) 4 cr. Prerequisite: Admission to the Program. A lecture-laboratory course that provides an introduction to basic principles of clinical respiratory care integrating physical principles of respiratory care throughout the course. Topics covered include: principles of infection control, medical gas therapy, aerosol and humidity therapy and basic patient assessment. Three hours of lecture and two hours of laboratory exercises weekly.
