(formerly PE-H150) 3 cr. This course prepares the student, through development of skill and knowledge, to give proper care to the injured and seriously ill. This practical course stresses prevention of accidents and early medical care in sudden illness. Better personal health habits, family health habits, and an interest in communitywide health problems are developed. Red Cross First Aid Certification is included in the completion of coursework and meets the State of Connecticut requirements leading to a coaching permit.
