(formerly BIOL-H252) 4 cr. Prerequisite: BIO*H105 or equivalent. Credit cannot be given for both BIO*H260 and BIO*H262. Same lecture as BIO*H260 but with a laboratory component. The laboratory investigations include experiments with Drosophila and bacteria. Computer simulations, bacterial transformations, and gel electrophoresis are also carried out. Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly.
