(formerly ACCT-H101) 3 cr. Prerequisites: ACC*H113 is a rigorous college level course. Students should have completed all developmental course work. The course offers an introduction to financial accounting with an emphasis on the use and interpretation of financial accounting information. It introduces the student to the balance sheet, income statement, statement of retained earnings, the cash flow statement and the operation of an accounting information system. The course focuses on the fundamental theory and principles of accounting, and utilizes accounting procedures to clarify and demonstrate the underlying concepts. The computer is used in this course.
