The course provides 2 hours of credit toward the A.S. degree in Respiratory Care and will transfer to UCF's B.S. in Cardiopulmonary Sciences. The course will focus on anatomy of the cardiopulmonary system, mechanics of ventilation, lung volumes and deadspace, diffusion of pulmonary gases, and oxygen transport. Case studies will be utilized to incorporate the critical thinking process. Contact: 2 hours per week.
