Prerequisites: NUR1020C, NUR1141, NUR1010, NUR1280. Corequisites: NUR1212C, NUR1312C. This course is designed to present the nursing student with basic knowledge and skills related to care of a client from delivery through postpartum; as well as care of the neonate. The course will present an introduction of high risk factors in the areas. The nursing process provides framework for planning care for clients on the wellness-illness continuum with inclusion of human growth and development, cultural diversity, pharmacology, and administration of medications, nutrition, legal aspects of practice, interpersonal relationships, and current issues in nursing. Contact: per semester: 15 hours lecture, 15 hours lab, and 30 hours of clinical. Additional fee.
