An introduction to the fundamental skills in black and white photography from camera and film exposure through darkroom printing processes. Students will produce a portfolio of prints with visual effectiveness and perceptual concerns as a goal. Lecture and lab 6 hours. In addition to an additional fee. Course expenses include the cost of film and photo paper and other related supplies (approximately $200). Students must supply their own 35mm cameras which must have a manual metering mode and adjustable controls (ability to select shutter speeds and f/ stops.) Additional fee.
