Prerequisite: CCJ 1020, Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission Academy equivalent or permission of instructor. Examines the tools that criminal justice personnel can use to manage or wage conflicts in constructive ways. Processes such as active listening, principles of negotiation, mediation, arbitration, victim and criminal offender mediation, and nonviolent direct action will be addressed. Contact: 3 hours.
