Participants complete 15 hours of field experience in accredited public, private, or charter schools at the appropriate levels and subject areas. Participants gain insight into the work of a teacher, the interactivity of the classroom and the dynamics of the instructional process through a series of guided observation tasks and by classroom teaching. Participants are assessed by a supervising teacher and an EPI field observer, develop reflective journals detailing their experiences, and meet together to discuss their experiences as they relate to previous EPI course content.
