Lecture topics include greenhouse and nursery design, construction, structure, machinery, production methods, and operation. Laboratory exercises will include soil, media, nutrition, plant growth modification, and the identification and control of pests. Students are expected to grow a variety of commercial floriculture crops, including poinsettia.
