Basic management principles affecting the operation of a farm business are covered in this course, as well as physical production relationships, profit maximization, cost minimization, forms of business organization, and equimarginal returns, enterprise combination, partial and complete budgeting with emphasis on decision making. Units on farm record keeping, including inventories, depreciation, operating and capital income and expenses, balance sheets and income statements, and the use of such records in analyzing the farm business are included.
