7 credits Advanced medical surgical concepts acute care, long term care and multisystem failure are addressed. Elements of community are integrated. The nursing process is imple mented to assess and identify nursing diagnoses plan and intervene to resolve actual or potential healthcare problems and based upon patients responses evaluate the effects of these interventions. The clients focus is adult patients with acute and longterm problems and their families. Critical Thinking skills will be utilized effectively in prioritizing interventions. The roles of the associate degree nurse will be integrated. The student will incorporate legal, ethical, research, accountability and diversityconcepts into the all written and clinical components. PREREQUISITE: NS-202, NS-208, EN-110 COREQUISITE: NS-260, NS-210
