3 credits This course develops an understanding of management methods used in today's medical office, proficiency in creating medical communications, and integrates concepts of modern technology in communications, preparation of financial data, personnel data, and records management. The course emphasizes methods for ensuring office management through monitoring and coordination of all office components including those related to administration of people, procedures, equipment and environment, budgeting, time, and supplies, adherence to statutory regulations concerning the conduct of a medical office. The key players in the front and back office will be discussed. PREREQUISITE: HA-101 or HA-106
