3 credits This course is designed for the nontechnical end-user. The course defines HRIS, its basic concepts and important components. Included will be development of a database, data entry and retrieval and the concept of a human resources information system center. Recordkeeping applications, payroll, employee development and training, including succession planning, human resources utilization and HRIS applicability to legal reporting requirements are covered.
