This course examines the practices and prob-lems of starting and operating a small busi-ness. Topics including capital accumulation, the assessment of local markets, site location, and decision-making techniques of the small business entrepreneur are explored, and the role of small business in the United States economy is evaluated. Case study and prob-lem solving techniques are used, as students interact with local small business owners to analyze real world business conditions.
