This course offers newly arrived non-native speakers opportunities to continue their English language development while experiencing American culture and college life. Students develop language skills that prepare them for further coursework in ESL and other academic disciplines. Listening, speaking, reading, and writing are integrated in thematically designed lessons which include classroom instruction, practicum, and out-of-class activities. Prerequisite: Student must be a non-native speaker with basic English skills.
