This course studies electromechanical and electronic devices in the operation of industrial equipment and manufacturingprocesses. Emphasis is placed on the operating characteristics and applications of discrete components such as solid-state devices, thyristors, trigger devices, relays, timers, amplifiers, and transducers. Laboratory experiments use skills and knowledge to diagnose and repair malfunctions in moderately complicated automated equipment. Prerequisite: ET103Technical Electronics, MA106Technical Mathematics 2. (Fall semester)
