Beginning with the Greek experience,Western Civilization developed in uniquely different ways from the rest of the civilized world. Patterns ofWestern thought led to the emergence of ideals such as the dignity and rights of man, free expression, social inclusion, and equal opportunity.The influence ofWestern forms of political and economic organizations on the modern world is examined.
