This course traces the development of the modern short storyfrom its origins in other story forms to the present. Emphasis isplaced on recent and contemporary writers,with attention givento content, form, and style. text analysis and consecutively producing an equivalent message in the targeted language. Content includes management strategies for ASL to spoken English interpreting and spoken English to ASL interpreting. Prerequisite: EI120 Processing Skills and Discourse Analysis with a grade of C or better and AL202 American Sign Language 4.
