4 Credits This course is for non-science majors, and is designed to create a greater appreciation of our place in the universe. Students will experience a virtual tour through our universe's grandeur, elegance, and beauty. It provides an introduction to, and a foundation for, a better understanding of our cosmic environment. The tools, methods, and problems of the astronomer will be examined, along with a consideration of past and present concepts regarding stellar, galactic, and planetary systems. Fall semester only.
