Prerequisite: admission to Nursing program This course introduces beginning nursing students to fundamental nursing knowledge and skills required in caring for adult clients. Students will learn essentials of communication skills used in therapeutic relationships with clients and practice principles and skills in the physical assessment of the adult. Selected clinical and laboratory experiences provide students the opportunity to practice basic nursing skills. (12 contact hours: 12 clinical)
