Prerequisite: MSTH 1200 or permission of instructor This course continues the study of massage therapy by introducing the study of movement, measurement of joint movements with a goniometer, manual muscle strength testing, and proper documentation. It presents a detailed analysis of the planes, axes, torques, and levers involved in movement; articulations; muscle mechanics; neurological control of movement; kinesiology of specific joints; and functional movement in posture, gait, and balance. (5 contact hours: 2 lecture, 3 lab)
