Prerequisite: MATH 1101 This course introduces students to plane analytic geometry and calculus, with an emphasis on applications to engineering technology. Topics include sequences and series, lines, conic sections, translation and rotation of axes, limits, derivatives and their applications, and integration and its applications. Students must supply a graphing calculator for this course and be familiar with the use of computers. The recommended calculator type is the TI-84 Plus or TI-86. (6 contact hours: 3 lecture, 3 lab)
