Prerequisite: BIOL 2220, MSTH 1100; or permission of instructor This course introduces pathology and provides a massage-based review of the anatomy and physiology of various body systems. It presents the physiological effects and therapeutic applications of massage procedures upon the various body systems, as well as procedures for reflex areas, abdominal massage, the treatment of fractures, hydro-therapy, and electrical modalities. Students will gain experience in performing the full-body massage sequence. (8 contact hours: 4 lecture, 4 lab)
