This course introduces practical information for the developmentally appropriate use of computers in preschool programs. The course provides an overview of principles, teaching strategies, guidelines for selecting software, and developmental activities for integrating the computer into preschool curriculum. The course introduces and explores the use of the Internet. It also provides students with the knowledge and skills to create materials, using a variety of media, for instructional and assessment purposes. (4 contact hours)
