Prerequisite: CIVT 2112 or permission of department chair This course introduces students to the use of computers in the field of surveying and the practice of civil engineering. Students will develop proficiency with industry developed software products and gain valuable experience with software tools used by surveyors in field and office practices. Projects emphasize applications in survey data collection, coordinate geometry, surface modeling, topographic mapping, survey plats, property descriptions, and roadway locations. (5 contact hours: 2 lecture, 3 lab)
