Prerequisite: BUSM 1300 This course provides a study and analysis of the many factors that have an impact on how individuals and groups respond to, and act in, organizations. It explores cause and effect relationships of behavior for managerial purposes and offers a theoretical foundation as well as a practical component. Students will gain an understanding of behavior within the context of organizational culture, structure, diversity, and ethics; and learn how this behavior can be influenced. Topics include personality, job satisfaction, values, perception, learning, motivation, leadership, group dynamics, conflict, power, and politics. (3 contact hours)
