This course is a study of artificial airway management, theories associated with blood gas analysis, noninvasive patient monitoring techniques, along with an introduction to mechanical ventilation. A lab setting is utilized to reinforce lecture and enable the student to develop the skills necessary to perform in a clinical setting. Prerequisite: RET 2275. Corequisite: RET 2833. Lab fee $20.00.
