This course teaches operating room theory and the role of the surgical technologist in the operating room, delivery room, and related areas. Principles of pathology, reaction to injury and basic concepts of microbiology are studied as they apply to the practice of surgery. Acceptance into the Surgical Technology program required. Prerequisite: HSC V003, PRN V022. Corequisite: STS V008. Lab fee $50.00. Insurance fee $22.00.
