This course teaches through reflection, dialog, clinical, and field experiences, preservice teachers to understand and apply the concepts of elementary classroom reading skills. It lays the foundation to build a balanced reading program that ensures all students can be happy and literate learners. Prerequisite: permission of instructor. *College preparatory. Credit not applied toward degree. In addition to classroom time, this course requires two (2) hours per week in the Academic Support Center.
