This course will introduce students to the implementation process and data presentation of quality assessment and improvement activities within the health care environment. The role of accrediting, licensing, agencies and professional associations will be discussed. The tenets of confidentiality of health records and quality assessment activities within the organizational function of the medical staff are reviewed.
