Description:
This course is designed to help make the transition from high school basic English reading and writing to preparatory ENG 097/098 courses offered at the College. Students are also given opportunities to improve their writing skills through improved understanding of the basic rules of grammar and the fundamentals of good paragraph writing. This course is for students whose primary language is American Sign Language, and will be taught in ASL rather than spoken English. Prerequisites: Appropriate score on the English Placement Tests (less than 35 on the reading and less than 40 on the sentence skills of the CPT); fluency in American Sign Language.
