Prerequisites: biostatistics core course or equivalent. A practical introduction to methods for analysis of frequency tabulations commonly used in public health research. Exercises are based on public health literature. Evaluate relationships between categorical factors by which frequency data are cross-classified. Apply principles of study design and sample size planning. Provide statistically valid interpretation of results fromcategorical data analysis. A statistical computer package such as SAS, STATA or SPSS is used for computation.
