6 Credits (5,3) Basic EMT candidates will learn to handle all types of medical emergencies and traumatic injuries through a combination of classroom, laboratory and clinical experiences. Candidates will be held to high standards, as their performance can mean the difference between life and death. Studentscompleting the course and meeting the necessary requirements will be eligible for the New York State Practical and Written Examinations for Certification as an EMT-Basic.
