Covers the fundamental principles of radiobiology; molecular and cellular response, both direct and indirect; interaction with matter; protection in radiology; and health physics. Presents sensitivity and cell recovery with the OER, LET, and RBE. Focuses on exposure and dose in radiology, the workplace, and in the general population. Federal, state and local regulations and guidelines will be identified and their roles defined. Prerequisites: RST* 213, RAD* 203, and RAD* 291. Corequisites: RAD* 206 and RAD* 292.
