Improves general writing skills in academic English, involving short essay assignments. Early writing assignments will focus on essay development and organization. Focuses on computer online writing development. Prerequisites: ESL* 159, ESL* 180, and ESL* 151, or sufficient score on the ESL Placement Test. Students intending to take ENG* 101 or COM* 171 must receive a grade of "B" or better. Students with less than a "B" will be required to take ESL* 178 prior to ENG* 101 or COM* 1 71. This course satisfies the Foreign Language requiremen t. (This course may be taken concurrently with ESL* 139, ESL* 161 and ESL* 180
