5 S.H. Presents electronics for biomedical instrumentation. Stresses reliability and safety. Introduces electron tubes and solid-state devices. Presents design and application of amplifiers, oscillators, high input impedance devices, and precision timers. Introduces and develops power supply design, voltage regulation, and high power-high speed switching. Four hours of lecture / two hours of laboratory. Prerequisite: BME* 112.
