4 S.H. Introduces the Fortran language, covering topics from the basic structure of the language through function and call type subroutines and disk file handling. Examines the applicability of Fortran to information processing as well as its use in numerical evaluations. The laboratory portion includes exercises in Fortran programming, covering the basic structure of the language. Three hours of lecture / two hours of laboratory.
