(formerly ESL-H080) 6 cr. Prerequisite: Successful completion of ESL*H132 or specified score on ESL placement exam. In this high intermediate course, students continue to strengthen reading and writing skills. Assigned readings (including whole works) as well as student writing form the basis for small group and class discussions. Students focus on writing and rewriting essays to develop ideas, organization, clarity and accuracy in their writing. This course requires a minimum of twelve hours of outside work per week. (Fall, Spring)
