(formerly RT-H202) 4 cr. Prerequisites: RSP*H151, RSP*H181 with grades of "C" or better. The course focuses on conventional and alternative forms of mechanical ventilation. Indications, application, discontinuation and physical effects of mechanical ventilation will be covered. In addition, non-invasive, home and pediatric mechanical ventilation strategies will be covered. This course includes an integrated laboratory that includes demonstrated competency with equipment prior to clinical application.
