(formerly LAP-H101) 3 cr. This course is an introduction to various aspects of the law, including but not limited to torts, contracts, criminal law and procedure and constitutional law. The course also surveys the structure and procedure of a number of court systems in the United States, and includes discussions of some topics of concern to the paralegal, including legal ethics, the rights of the elderly, the poor, the young and other disadvantaged minorities.
