(formerly MI-H1044) 3 cr. Prerequisite: BOT*H283. Corequisite: BOT*H187. This course is designed to develop those abilities and skills which would let students define and explain the types of health insurance policies and contracts available. Comparison of Anthem-Blue Cross, Blue Shield, and commercial health policies are included, as well as analysis of insurance forms and application of information to the forms. Emphasis would be placed on legal issues and medical record confidentiality.
