This course is designed to provide an examination of the historical background and methodology of archaeology and its significance today; how archaeologists make and study the finds to illuminate the past; the study of archaeological concepts and procedures; and how archaeologists describe cultures as part of time and space to interpret the prehistoric past.This course satisfies the Gordon Rule writing requirement.A grade of "C" or higher must be attained. 45 classhours. Prerequisite: ANT 2000.
