A study of fundamental statistical methods including the basic concepts of probability, measures of center and variation, sampling techniques, the basic statistical distributions, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, linear correlation and regression, and non-parametric statistics. If used to meet requirements of the AA Degree, a grade of "C" or higher must be obtained. 45 classhours. Prerequisite:MAT 1033 (completed with a grade of "C" or higher), or satisfactoryplacement test score.
