This course is designed for students who will not be administering medications, but need general knowledge of classifications, common usages, and dosages ofmedications commonly prescribed for patients.This is an introductory course including principles of pharmacology, drug action, and therapy. Correct spelling and format as well as fundamental mathematical skills required for drug calculation are emphasized. 60 hours of instruction. Prerequisite: HSC 0534.
