FA, SP, SU - This rhetoric-based course examines the concepts of speech communication via lecture, discussion, and practical experiences in public speaking, small group discussion and problem-solving, and comprehensive and critical listening.This is a speaking-intensive course, and participation may include original research,writing, and delivery of several types of formal speeches, panel discussions, and critical analysis and evaluation of other speakers. Meets A.A. oral communications requirement. Available as hybrid course (SPC 1600J).
