SP - Lab fee. Prerequisites: HSC 0001C, STS 0003C, STS 0804, S00758. Corequisites: STS 0120, STS 0803C.This course consists of supervised, beginning-level learning experiences in clinical settings. Students will apply and reinforce concepts, principles, and skills of surgical technology practice while progressing from the role of observer to that of a supervised member of the surgical team. Emphasis will be placed on general surgery and the specialities of gynecology and obstetric surgery, ophthalmic surgery, otorhinolaryngology surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery and genitourinary surgery.
