Prerequisite: Appropriate CPT score or successful completion of REA 0001. REA 0002 is a four-hour course designed to help students develop the reading skills and strategies that are essential for literal and critical comprehension of ideas expressed in writing. This course incorporates CLAST reading skills and emphasizes effective strategies for college-level reading through classroom instruction and additional support in the Reading Center. This course does not satisfy A.A. degree communication requirements or carry credit toward the A.A. degree. Students are required to pass the State Exit Exam in order to pass this course.
